Big Walk Version 1.0 went live August 4, 2026 on three families of hardware with full crossplay. This page is the storefront map: platforms, regional unlock times, Mac details, PS Plus context, and the Xbox gap. Use it when friends ask “which version should I buy?” or “what time does it drop?”

Crossplay covers every shipping platform. A Steam host can invite PS5 and Switch 2 friends with a Join Code. Same-platform friends can also appear through native friends lists. Details live in Crossplay Platforms.

Steam and Nintendo may flip purchasable a few minutes earlier or later than PlayStation. If a store page still looks pre-unlock, refresh after the UTC window rather than assuming a delay.
Steam for PC and Mac
Steam is the only PC/Mac storefront called out at launch. There is no Epic-only exclusive in the primary coverage we track, and no Mac App Store SKU—Mac players buy through Steam and meet the Apple Silicon requirements on System Requirements.
Steam Cloud and achievements are part of the Version 1.0 PC feature set. Cloud sync helps a host’s machine, but it does not create cross-progression for guests—progress still follows the session host’s save.
PlayStation 5 and PS Plus
PS5 owners can purchase Big Walk or claim it via PlayStation Plus Essential during the August 2026 monthly window (widely listed through September 1, 2026). Online play always needs an active Plus membership. Full pricing and claim steps are on PS Plus & Price.
DualSense features and controller mic support make PS5 a comfortable host for living-room groups, provided the host’s internet is stable.
Nintendo Switch 2
Switch 2 ships a full day-one build suited to portable co-op. Online sessions need Nintendo Switch Online. Voice quality varies more than on PS5/PC, so plan walkie-talkies, gestures, and text—see Online Requirements and Gestures & Arms.
Why Xbox is missing
At launch there is no Xbox Series X|S version and therefore no Game Pass slot. Groups locked to Xbox hardware must use Steam on a PC/Mac, borrow a PS5/Switch 2, or wait for a future announcement. This wiki will update the Updates Hub if House House or Panic announce additional platforms.
