Big Walk Version 1.4.10 — Network Stability
Focused network and voice improvements: more specific error messages, stability fixes, and harder wall clipping.
On August 21, 2026, House House shipped Version 1.4.10 for Big Walk — the third post-launch patch focused on network connection and stability. Groups that have been plagued by mid-session drops have a fresh build worth trying.
For the full patch timeline see the Updates Hub. For connection troubleshooting see Connection Fixes.
What changed in 1.4.10
Network connection improvements
Version 1.4.10 brings more specific error messages for certain network failures. Previously, players might see a generic “connection failed” message without understanding the cause. The host/join menu now warns if it detects issues that may stop a connection, giving players actionable information before a session fails.
Also fixed: the server stopping responding after a player disconnects — a frustrating issue that could end long sessions abruptly.
Voice stability improvements
Voice stability improvements — voices are less likely to cut out mid-conversation. This builds on the Version 1.4.8 quiet-voice fix and represents continued attention to the proximity chat system that is core to Big Walk’s design.
Small change to the sound of the item that lets you find other items (the general issue with picking up items to locate others), and the flare gun’s sound cutting out was fixed.
Wall clip prevention
It is now harder to clip through certain walls. This is particularly relevant for the speedrun community, where wall-clipping techniques have been used to bypass puzzles. While the infinite jump itself remains functional as of this patch, wall clipping specifically has been targeted.
